Snow Hill is a place where creativity and sophistication merge in a small town atmosphere to enhance rural living on the river

Snow Hill's main shopping district is set along tree lined streets accented with flowering boxes and charming buildings that date to the late 19th century. The downtown features a variety of unique shops, galleries and working studios with friendly, old-fashioned shopkeepers who welcome you. You will be surprised at what you might find among the unique offerings in the stores.

The creative spirit of the town is defined by the presence of art work by many noted local artists and artisans displayed in our fine galleries and businesses around town. You will find a variety of styles in our photography, sculpture, pottery, and flat panel work.

Events include the traditional Family Independence Day Celebration, Christmas in Snow Hill along with Blessing of the Combines and the Worcester County Fair held in town every summer. Other events include a monthly Arts along the River every first Friday of the month March through December, a motorcycle rally at Sturgis Park in September and the return to Goat Island, celebrating the town waterways each summer.

Surrounded by rich farmland, Snow Hill is situated along the beautiful Pocomoke River. Two public parks grace its banks, Sturgis Park and Byrd Park while The John Walter Smith Regional Park is on the outskirts of town.

Short drives to Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum, the Pocomoke River State Park, and to Assateague Island National Seashore Park offer an exciting perspective to the natural beauty of the area.

Snow Hill’s historic natural setting along the river is ideal for spending the day fishing, paddle boarding, canoeing or hiking.
